Mapping from source class to target

Classification Mapping Process

This process describes how to map a source classification to a target classification. It is useful when catalogs are provided in ECLASS or UNSPSC and need to be aligned with your internal classification system.

To upload a source mapping, following steps have to be taken:

  1. Navigate to Settings section on the left

  2. Select Classification management from the dropdown menu

Step 2 – In the Classification Systems tab, click the Upload button at the top right. Select the target organization, enter a name for the upload, choose the appropriate type and version, select the file, and click Upload to complete the process.

Step 3 – In the Classification Mappings tab, select the target organization. Enter a name for the upload, choose the appropriate type, and specify both the source and target classifications. Select the file, click Upload, and wait for the file to be validated.

Step-by-step guide on CCS

To upload a source mapping, following steps have to be taken:

  1. Navigate to Organization section on the top bar

  2. Select Classification Mapping from the dropdown menu

  3. Scroll down to see the upload section

  4. Specify all the mandatory data

    1. Choose the type of mapping – Source mappings

    2. Make sure that chosen organization is correct

    3. Define the classification file in excel format in accordance with the template file you find on the right side of this wiki page.

    4. Choose Source Classification from the dropdown list

    5. Choose Target Classification from another dropdown list

  5. Click Upload file and wait for file to be validated

Column SourceClassID means ID from source

Column TargetClassID means ID from target
